We are passionate about protecting and enhancing wildlife at all of our solar farms, at Sawmills this includes:
• Retaining and enhancing valuable ecological features including trees, hedgerows, and field margins.
• Sowing grassland seed mixtures, including fine grasses and wild flowers, beneath the solar panels.
• Sowing a “pollinator” seed mix to provide a source of pollen and nectar for declining species of butterflies and bees.
•Installing bird boxes for barn owls and kestrels.
